Saudi Arabia’s SABIC has launched a new unit called SABIC Investment and Local Content Development Company, it said in a statement on Wednesday. SABIC Vice President Fuad Mousa described the new company as “the first independent fund in the Kingdom to help generate business opportunities and collaborate with small and medium enterprises to enable their sustainable success”. The new company is expected to generate over SAR500mn via public private partnership, the statement added.
