OPIC agrees to disburse USD430mn to secure and facilitate imports of Israeli gas
The Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) has agreed to disburse USD430mn to secure and facilitate the transfer of Israeli gas to Egypt. USD180mn will be directed towards recovering and preparing the gas pipeline between the two countries. In the meantime, USD250mn will be paid in insurance to protect the contract of Noble Energy Mediterranean against financial and political risks.
